Delete Your Account

MyStatus, by Dad Bod Games NYC INC.

You can request deletion of your MyStatus account and all data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to make the request, what gets deleted, and how long it takes. It applies to accounts created in the MyStatus apps for Android and iOS and on this website.

How to Request Deletion

Send an email to tom@dadbodgames.nyc with the subject line "Delete my account", from the email address your account is registered under. Sending from the account address is how we verify the request is really yours; if you sign in with Apple using a private relay address, send it through that relay address. We will confirm by reply before deleting, and we will not charge you for the request.

We action deletion requests within the timeframe required by applicable law — generally 30 days under GDPR and 45 days under the CCPA, and usually much sooner.

What Gets Deleted

Everything. Your account information (name and email address), every task you created, every update you posted, and every attachment you uploaded — photos, movies, sound files, PDFs, and links. Share links to your tasks stop working, including permalinks to individual updates. Deletion is permanent; there is no recovery or undo.

Two caveats from our Privacy Policy: deleted data may persist for a limited period in backups before being purged, and because content you posted was public by design, copies already made by third parties — search engines, feed readers, archives — are outside our control and are not recalled by deleting your account.

If You Don't Want to Delete Everything

You don't need to delete your account to remove specific content. You can delete individual tasks and updates in the app at any time, and rotating a task's share link immediately cuts off everyone holding the old one. If you want your account kept but some of its data removed, say so in your email and we'll handle it as a data-deletion request under the same timelines.
